On Top 1 Weigh-In

    The fighters weighed in today ahead of On Top Promotions first event tomorrow night. After several hours and a few near misses all the fighters in attendance were able to make weight. Sean Wright has now been matched with Kyle Cassidy, completing the fight card.

    James Doolan (61.6k) 11 – 4 – 1 v Michal Hamrsmid (62.0K) 20 – 8 – 1

    Doolan current OMMAC bantamweight champ will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2010 when he won only 1 of 4 fights. Doolan will be taking on the Czech Hamrsmid who was top 5 ranked in Europe till an injury last year forced him out of action. Both men will be looking to come back strong in 2011.

    Scott Jansen (70.9k) 5 – 9 – v Nathan Thompson (68.5K) 2 – 13

    Jansen a UCMMA favorite will take on one of the more experienced fighters Nathan Thompson, Jansen is coming in heavier and with more wins on his record but lost his last two fights to submission. Both of Thompson’s victories have come from submissions.

    Scott Ward(77.3)  4 – 3 v Ryan Scope (70.9k) 4 – 0

    Both fighters are coming in on 4 fight win streaks this should be tough test for both men. With winning streaks on the line this has fight of the night written all over it.

    Allan Love (87K) 6-2 v John Gillies (89.1K) 0-1

    Allan ‘no’ Love is a well-known respected fighter in Scotland; the heavy handed Gillies will be looking for his first pro win. This one will be a cracker.


    David Galbraith (66.1K) 3-3 v Robert Whiteford (65.9k) 3-1

    This I the long awaited match that everyone was looking forward to seeing at SFC when Whiteford was forced to pull out due to injury. Both men will be chomping at the bit to get into the cage and battle it out. This one is not to be missed.

    John Quinn (77.5) 8 – 1 v Colin Fletcher (76.3K) 4-0

    Quinn has only been beaten once in nine pro fights, Fletcher is undefeated in 4 pro fights someone’s 0 will have to go. Needless to say both men will stop at nothing to ensure their respective unbeaten runs continue.

    Marcos Nardini (66k) 1-0 v Oliver Pastor (66.2K) 10 – 5

    The Brazilian Marcos Nardini an experienced BJJ black belt will have a tough test against the experienced French fighter Oliver Pastor who is coming off a two fight win streak.

    Gary Ward (72.7K) 0-0 v Graham Armstrong (72.4K) 2-2

    Ward will make his pro debut against Graham Armstrong. Armstrong is coming in off of a last round rear naked choke victory in November.

    Sean Wright (70.5K) 1-0 v Kyle Cassidy

    Former British Muay Thai champion Sean Wright came in on weight and ready to fight. However his scheduled opponent French wrestler Maloev was unable to get a visa. Kyle Cassidy will now be taking on Wright last minute change.

    Darren Gillchrist v Peter Smith

    This will be both fighters’ professional debuts, with both fighters looking to get their careers off to a winning start this promises to be an entertaining match up. This fight will be under B Class Pro Rules.
